Central MN
Agreed. School here tried to pass a referendum last year where they were going to do a bunch of maintenance on the high school. Things like the boiler, roof, etc. The building is 30 years old and I’d happily pay a little more in taxes to keep it top notch for another 30 years. However, they added on a bunch of crap the main part being adding on 2 new gyms, and converting one gym to a wrestling room and adding on a bigger weight room. They also threw in a blurb about shop improvements. When did the sole focus of these schools become sports? There’s half the kids in the school then when I graduated from the same school 25 years ago but we need twice as many gyms and a specific wrestling gym? I don’t think so.
