I would prefer nuclear power.
I got no problem with that.. in fact I prefer an ALL OF THE ABOVE energy policy.
Roof top Solar. Go for it..
a couple wind farms here and there have added jobs for sparsely populated western Kansas as well as other areas.. plus tax revenues for schools.. so they can offer a competitive wage to come out and teach kids in the Sahara vs the plush Cities.. no problem
An expanded transmission line.. as long as it doesn’t cover the whole township (really 5 miles wide?!?) that’s fine.. get the permits.. etc but sounds like progress.
I rode in the neighbors EV the other day.. $0.03/ mile he claims.. but he still has the ICE backup.. so does my nephew in Florida.. Diesel pickup.. (try out running a hurricane in an EV with power lines down..)
Nuclear
Shale Natural Gas.
Shale Petroleum.
Off shore Petroleum, Wind, Algae.. if ya think you can get the permits.. knock yourself out.
Ethanol produced on Soils which we are improving over time.. see trendline corn yields.. SAVED OUR BACON during Covid.. as the economy shut down.. Gasoline usage plummeted.. Putin went into Ukraine.. and we had a surplus of corn sitting in storage.. “just in case” with pretty decent exports.. (we even shared it)
Ethanol is the low cost.. high octane.. shock absorber glue.. which fills several needs.. jobs in rural America.. opportunity for the next generation.. DDGs.. etc.
Its part of what makes America Great.
Innovation, Ingenuity and Independence..
“Freedom to Choose.”
and Iran can’t embargo it!
