No till doesn’t really work on poorly drained ground. Mostly because it takes so long to dry down. There are also some soils that get a density layer change just by looking at them. I try NoTill as much as reasonably possible, but can’t NT it all.

ETA: If ground is too hard, you need more down force and/or heavier planter toolbar. I have NT concrete like ground. Is there no cover on the ground? Bean residue or corn residue to protect the soil surface?
