I don't know how old he is, but our skin is not as durable when we get older.
There are different kinds of leg liners and the silicone ones work better for me than older style ones that slipped more.
The number of "good steps" that I have each day is about 25% of what I had 30 years ago when I became a below knee amputee.
There is certainly no harm in seeking out another prosthetic clinic or more to get some different opinions of the problems that he is having.
Sadly, sometimes the residual limb is not very healthy or is oddly shaped and a prosthetic limb can only offer limited mobility. | |
