SEIL | Do they wear a stump sock? Now they use neoprene, versus wool. The neoprene holds in moisture and keeps the skin soft, wool absorbs the moisture and keeps the stump dry but I am guessing that wool is hard to come by. I have no personal experience, except for a sister who was born without her leg below her knee and know that sores are very detrimental to their ability to wear a prosthesis. Could they use New Skin over the wound and then use moleskin to protect it. I hope they have caring professionals that can help them. Good luck! | |
