Holland, Indiana (SW IN) | We’ve been NT seemingly forever lots of CC almost every acre
Last year bought a high speed disc all corn very limited on labor made one pass shallow with the HS disc a little rough but the row cleaners with lift just touching very happy
This year all soybeans only a few acres straight NT I’m replanting some of the NT tomorrow voles and slugs
Like either one pass with a VT tool or the HS disc leaves plenty of residue on top — we go shallow and fast
NT was just having too many negatives
We are discussing what it costs one tillage pass $15 ? I think it’s money well spent

Had a pic of one VT pass where we didn’t get all the CC killed most of the time not this much residue left
Add I plant 10” or so off last years rows or things don’t work great
