North Dakota, USA | We bought a new commercial grade washer and dryer a couple weeks ago. Mainly because of the recommendations from this site and a recommendation from a friend of mine who sells appliances. They are very good but I have noticed that the dryer seems somewhat slow to dry clothes. Is this common? The dry sensing option seems to shut off before things are even close to dry, especially thicker items like jeans. I would guess this senses the humidity in the dryer to determine when a load is done. There is lots of airflow out the vent so I don't think it is a problem with that.
I have not asked my friend, who we bought them from yet. I wanted to get a general consensus here first. I am probably not comparing it fairly as our old dryer was just plain hot, no matter what heat setting you chose. We had only used delicate for years and it was still very hot, I think it was hotter than the regular setting on the new one. I have tried the 30 minute setting and heavier items were still very damp, next time I will try 60 minute.
Thanks,
