| Far as the floor goes think of it like a trailer floor, need to be able to clean it and not too slippery wood is definitely good for noise, cow mats seem to work well in my trailer, would they be good on a scale IDK. Rest 560 seems to have a good handle on.
Additional thought: Far as the varmints under it, maybe if you could leave more space under say 18 inches or more so cats and dogs can easily nose around it may discourage the chewing.
