Our freezers are stacked like Tetris. No dividers, no boxes or bags. Beef is put in alternating cuts so that while eating from it you don't have to dig to find something different. I can get 500 pounds in a 14.5 cubic foot freezer. Another freezer that has things from the garden and grocery is stacked in columns. It does take a little digging sometimes in that one.
