Agree. I’m not sure why everyone raves about Texas Roundhouse. It’s average a best. You get a crap ton of food, so maybe that’s why. But it’s a crap ton of average food.
The roadkill is the best $15 dollar sit down meal I’ve seen anywhere, well, next to our local Plaza Mexico, that has daily lunch special for under ten bucks. I always just get the special, cuz it’s always good. And I really care for the waitstaff. Always pleasant and a smile on their face. Back to the Roadhouse, I don’t know where they source their lettuce, but the salads are as good as I’ve had anywhere. Even in the middle of an Iowa winter. If it was possible to get a franchise, I’d have had one already. The restaurant business is not an easy one, but they have a business model that is just plain highly successful. All you have to do is put up your cash, and follow the model. And bank the profits. If it were available. It no longer is. Could maybe buy in as a managing partner, and that’s about it.
