And I looked at the Wallmart meat counter 2 months ago and 2 ribeye's for over 36 bucks and 2 new york strips for over 32. As a cattle feeder I know very well prices have screamed up since then. If the taxpayers would rather some bare footed boy from South America raise their beef for them at lower prices I can't blame them. Farmers and ranchers have sure become some entitled brats. The same people who thinks the government owes them tax payer dollars for everything will cry like hell when the governemnt does a work around to lower beef prices. Its coming.
I could imagine if the USA mostly depends on Latin America and South America for beef, then most likely at some point in the future we will be in the same fix with beef as we were with the fuel shortage in the 70's. |
