TX Panhandle
These post make me laugh.

If I go out to eat it’s not a steak as I prefer the taste of my own cooked at home. Still eat beef when eating out though not often these days.

In the last 6 months I’ve sold 4 halves of beef @ $10.50/lb boxed weight averaging 225 a half. Been told on the last 2 “that’s cheap!” Have a waiting list for more. I choose to grow my own steaks versus go on vacation.

Other countries are willing to pay quite a bit more for beef than the United States does.

With the cull cow kill record a few years ago it’s going to be the biggest drive in price since those calves never hit the ground. I remember the day I heard it on radio. I had sold my old gummers the month before.

People have to choose priorities. It’s hard when a lot of society believe moderately priced food is an entitlement. They need to google percent of disposable income spent on food in other countries that can’t spend a lot of income on entertainment and amenities.
