You gain nothing. To play devils advocate, it rains and you are planting corn 3 weeks from now, then likely the corn planted tomorrow sucks anyway. Early hidden stress is real. Everyone should follow their instincts. I would wait. Of course I live in the middle of the middle I state and we have a very wide planting window and very forgiving growing season.
Besides having it done, what would I gain by planting Corn tomorrow?
