Decker MI | I am/was a Dairyland dealer. My DSM told me that Hoegemeyer was the largest of the 4 brands hence the name. I think it could be positive in the long run because all 4 companies had the same seed in their bags and if Dairyland ran out of a hybrid we couldn't get it from seed consultants because it was in the wrong bag. The country will be divided into regions yet so there will be specifics available to each region. It is going to make the system a lot more efficient and they have already unloaded a lot of office people that they won't need because of this move. I am sure it won't all be positive but there will be a lot of advantages. | |
