| So, I am thinking that the major brands - Pioneer, Dekalb, etc - have a larger share of the market in areas like the East, where in the large corn growing areas - the MidWest - the regionals and smaller companies are more predominate, and the major brands - Pioneer, Dekalb, etc - have a lesser market share in those regions. a) Is this a true statement? b) IF a) is a true statement, is this the reason that Pioneer would keep the Hoegemeyer brand and not one of the other ones? That there are customers in the Midwest who will not buy Pioneer brand, but might be more inclined to buy Hoegemeyer. Do you think this might be true? |
