| There is the output seal that runs on the outside of the output yoke and then there is also an o-ring that seals the shaft splines to the inside of the yoke. It’s under the yoke retainer plate with the three bolts in it. Either of them could be causing your leak and both can be replaced from the outside. I don’t know how you could get the bearing off without tearing the transmission down. I think you can remove the bearing retainer from the back and replace the bearing cup, but you wouldn’t be able to pull the bearing cone off the shaft. It is a tight fit. It requires a heavy puller or press to remove the bearing after the shaft is out. It is submerged in oil so I wouldn’t be surprised if the bearing is fine and you just cooked your seals. | |
