Subject: Exapta's Thompson closing wheels

Sheldon, Ia
Anybody using Thompson closing wheels on their planter? We have been using them to no-til beans in standing stalks and they seem to work ok with closing the trench. We also use them for planting corn conventional til and I'm having trouble finding the sweet spot for them. They do a good job of shattering the sidewall but they also can pull some clods up in the process. We are also using keeton seed firmers because the thompsons don't pack much dirt over the seed. Would love to talk to someone using them in a similar situation.
