Subject: Great Plains air drill blockage sensor issues

Jewell County KS
I have an older NTA3510 air drill with a Vansco all run blockage monitor. 5 modules 8 runs per module.Modules are all hooked together with the same 3 wire wires. Sensors have the little finger that goes in seed tube and senses seed. It has worked fine for 25+ years. Had issues on first field of beans this spring. Throwing a system error 100 code. "Data line shorted low" Monitor will not function with this error but unplugging the wire going to the modules allow the code to clear and monitor will work with the rest of the sensors. Obviously with no blockage monitoring.

Seems like the problem "should" be downstream from the 3 wire weatherpack connector I disconnect to make everything else work.

Anyone have any ideas on how to diagnose this?

Wire going back to the 5 modules has power, ground and a data line. Connector going to monitor has the power, ground and data line along with power and ground for seed clutch so fan speed, bin levels shaft speeds and blockage info is all transmitted on the single data line.

We tried to ohm the data to ground wires but am getting some confusing results and am trying to wrap my head around how this should be checked. Sometimes get 0.0 ohms with no tone from multimeter and sometime with a tone. Other times OL.

Maybe should try a different meter.

I am attaching a couple pics of the manual. It points to Data line shorted to ground but we are having a hard time tracking it down
