He's done a lot of wrenching around the place now with hand tools. He's not some dumb kid who wants to go so he can build a hot 12v or something. It's a life for him. Knows what to do and what not to do. I'd also assume the school hammers on some realities of the trade as well. I know they have a school supplied box year 1. Just thinking longer term gifting.
