| My secondary planter (probably don’t need to put hardly any acres on it if I take the primary one pretty seriously) is pulled by a NH T8040 which is a 2009 305 engine HP MFWD if you’re not familiar.
While pulling a 24R30 bulk fill planter it does pretty good except it overheats.
I’ve just dealt with it over the years. But we have a few more acres now and might lean on it a little more and I’d like it to be a little more productive.
I could probably justify upgrading the tractor to something that doesn’t overheat but instead I’m thinking about mounting a radiator somewhere (possibly on the Sidequest tanks?) and running a line to the radiator from the heater core lines to get rid of some more heat.
Any of ya’ll do some strange things like that to avoid spending money?
Or have any advice on how my crazy idea might work? | |
