Subject: Thinking about getting a drone for foliar feeding corn – Is the low water volume a dealbreaker?

Hi everyone,
I’m considering investing in an ag drone for my corn operations. In my region, disease pressure is relatively low, so my primary goal isn’t fungicide application; I want to focus more on foliar fertilization (micronutrients and bio-stimulants).

However, the low water volume per acre is making me hesitate. I’m concerned about how effective foliar nutrients are when applied in such a concentrated way. For those of you using drones for foliar feeding:

How has the crop response been compared to traditional high-volume ground rigs?

Have you seen a noticeable impact on yield?

Do you run into issues with leaf burn (phytotoxicity) due to the high concentration?

I’d love to hear your experiences and any tips on spray volume or products that work best with drone setups. Thanks!
