Extreme southeast Nebraska | I usually rotate corn/beans but needed to even out acres after some land rent changes. I no tilled into last years stalks by splitting the rows with the planter. There was a moderate amount of vol corn around 4" high when I planted it on Monday the 4th. I could ignore them and hope it doesn't become to thick to be a yield reducer. Or I could spot spray a low rate of clethodim to knock out the existing vol plants. I was told that to broadcast spray the whole field with clethodim could result in noticeable planted corn damage especially if a rain came shortly after spraying the clethodim.
