I've got about 5a of a 200acre field that I have signed up for CRP and have not planted it yet. I'm just wondering if it's worth the hassle working with NRCS for ten years or just dealing with it with a perineal grass and ditch the compliance issues involved. It's hilly with water way. I"ve wanted to take out of row cropping since I purchased it nearly 40 years ago . Thanks for any input

The first 5 years it will blow as the NRCS will plant some exotic variety that doesn't grow there and claim it just takes a while to establish.
