I would look as to why there is a connector in that location. If it's just one for ease of assembly at the factory then bypassing it by soldering and shrink tubing the splices would suffice or maybe adding individual disconnects for each wire. If it's for replacement of a sensor or likely replaceable component then getting the terminals for the OEM plug would be advisable. Often these plugs exposed to the weather will need replaced as well. They get brittle and the terminals won't want to play nice.
