| I used Sonic(Authority) one year and we got cold wet weather when the beans were emerging. They didn’t get burned like yours did but they just seemed stunted most of the summer. They barely closed 30” rows.
Since then I have used valor and have not seen a problem. I’ve heard valor can do the same thing but I have never seen it. I have been doing a generic two pass program for multiple years but am switching to a 3 pass this year. I’m kinda anal when it comes to water hemp and am getting too old to walk beans just to get the few that survive. My current program with generic where possible:
Pre: AMS, 2oz Valor, 6oz Sencor, 32oz RUP, 16oz dicamba.
Post #1: AMS, 32oz RUP, 16 oz concentrated Liberty, LockUp.
Post #2: AMS, 16oz concentrated Liberty, 10oz Outlook, LockUp.
Total cost not including my application is $42.39.
Edit: This is notill so I am relying totally on chemicals for weed control. My two pass program was pre and then the post around June 15-20 just when the soybeans begin flowering. I think the pre just couldn’t hold that long and some weeds were getting too big for my post spray. That is why I’m switching to a 3 pass. My plan is pre right now. Post #1 about June 1. Post #2 about June 21.
