Easy, if you were referring to 75 years ago, I would have to agree with you. However, 15-20 years ago.... do you really think there was more livestock on the farm in Ill 20 years ago? More crop rotation 20 years ago? More set aside and/or green manure 20 years ago? I'm not sure I am buying that theory.... not 20 years ago. | 
Does soil get worked down finer now than it did 15-20 years ago?
