| Don't know nothing about onions but I would be worried the outside would dry much fast than the inside. Might spoil I think. My friend drys lots of onions on plywood in the sun with top and roots on. He grows a lot of them for his organic market.
Not the same crop of course but drying cob corn with heat will shrink the kernals before the cob and the kernals will fall off. Proceed with caution. | |
