the weather or climate is different. it’s warmer, earlier. It doesn’t rain as consistently, it is more sporadic. rolling baskets are on almost everything fencerows are gone, as noted above wind erosion models seem to focus a lot of surface roughness. Fall tillage tools with rolling baskets are leaving the ground pretty smooth as opposed to plow or chisel ridges
