SW WI | So does the JD dealer have customers that the only one on the farm during the day is some wet behind the ears teenager, trying to keep things running while there is no money for repairs on worn out equipment with both mom and dad working off…..trying to keep things afloat?
Does that kid get to answer phone calls from businesses looking to collect on past due bills or maybe someone stopping in to collect that chews the ear of the kid cause mom and dad aren’t there?
How about newspapers that publish who’s behind on property taxes…is that kid’s family in there for all to talk about when he goes to school?
Does the kid also get by the school year with 1 pair of jeans and a couple of t shirts? Spending most days in school thinking “this is a waste, I should be home working so we don’t lose the farm”
Couple of spotted cows and my stories get more colorful…..or dark….
