sc kansas | the only thing keeping land values up in our neck of the woods is all the 1031 money. in the long haul 1031 is hurting the young farmers and pricing them out of the land market. if 1031 would go away I firmly believe land would drop by 1000 to 1500 per acre over night here and bring values down to 1500 to 2000 an acre which is where they should be. and yes that would hurt my own equity balance but when one doesn't plan on borrowing against or selling it what difference does it make. | |
