The chemical companies have been preaching “overlapping residuals” to us for a while now, saying not to let more than 3-4 weeks pass between applications. If I spray my pre early, then my post is due about planting time.

Unless I accept going to a 3 pass program, spraying the pre right after the planter gives me the most potential to make it to canopy while still having residual activity and using a 2 pass program.

BASF says Zidua Pro is fine on planted beans as long as they aren’t emerged, so that’s what I did. If it’s not fine, then I’ll ask them to compensate me, and I’ll not use it anymore. This is why I came on here asking for others’ experiences. I am not a weed and chemical scientist, so I tend to trust what the companies say.

This is one of those situations that most of the time it is fine, unfortunately you got hit with one of the times it isn't.

I have sprayed Zidua Pro on planted beans a bunch of times and not been burned. But, I can understand being upset if this is the first time you've used it and this is your experience as well.
