because there might be a good one in there.
Been using Gmail since 2004, and most all junk mail ends up in spam folder, and within spam folder are few emails.
I avoid clicking on links in email, and manually go to a site of interest. When a person clicks on a link in email, that site might let others know your email address is valid. On a different topic, on my two cellphones, only those I know can ring them, everybody else can leave a voice mail....overtime, they don't call or text.
Broadcasting your email address (at various sites) will only increase the spam. Even at eBay, a few sellers that I have bought something from them have generated junk mail in my inbox.
>good one in there.
Right..."A Nigerian scam (or "419 scam") is a prevalent type of advance-fee fraud where scammers promise a large, nonexistent fortune in exchange for small, upfront fees. Victims are solicited via email/letters from fake officials claiming they need help transferring money out of Nigeria. Once fees are paid, scammers request more money until the victim stops paying." |
