The second/third owner is critical in the equipment market. The first owner needs to eat more depreciation or run equipment longer before trading. Deere also cares more about shareholders profits, decreasing volume but increasing margin which works, but at a certain point, selling one X9 versus two S7s may backfire.
The dealerships are the ones taking on extreme risk with these late model trades.
