Floyd County, Iowa | I have to agree on the sugar thing. I has a bout with very early stage throat cancer and took 6 weeks of daily radiation last fall, ending in early December. Couldn't really eat for obvious reasons, and went from 195 lbs down to 172 lbs. It took a good 3 weeks before I could start eating normal foods. Before radiation, I had a sweet tooth of sorts. Afterward, sweets no longer appeal to me. Taste buds changed. Soda no longer appeals. I have a couple eggs and either a sausage patty or bacon for breakfast, and really don't need anything until supper. And then, I don't eat as much before I'm full. Still weighing the same as I did in December. Feel better without the extra weight. But have to use suspenders, though. | |
