Middlesex County, Ontario | To connect to MODOT CORS network you would typically use a cellular modem in the tractor. That modem needs a data plan from a cell phone provider. That data plan doesn't cost much, ~$15/month. There are ways to get around this data plan requirement and have it work off your phone hotspot, but the phone connection requires a bit of baby sitting, and it's kind of worth the monthly charge just to turn the key and go.
If you are current on WAAS then you'd need
- ~$2200 OmniStar unlock fee
- ~$2200 RTK Unlock fee
- ~$1200 for a used DCM300 cellular modem
You can buy a used and already unlocked monitor for less than the cost of the unlock fees. |
