Pulled all slats, replaced all capstone and beams and slats as needed. Surprisingly only needed 4 new slats and 6 new beams. I had told the slat pro guy I wanted another 20 years and to do whatever he had too. These were hog slat made slats. Gutted everything and put in all new electric, water lines, wet dry feeders, new gates with speed alleys, new controller, new curtains, new actuated inlets, new roof with rafters glued and renailed, new feed lines and motors. New bull bins. Yardage is 41. Remodel cost 162 space. Payback is 4 years without propane cost. Figuring getting another 20 years out of the barn.
New ceiling and insulation?
