| How many head would a person have to own to get a packer contract/shackle space? I hear about some regular guys(not directly related to or affiliated with a packer) that own quite a few hogs in barns across the country. My thought is if they can own the hogs and never touch them while still paying $41/space, there must be some profit in owning them? Just wasn’t sure if this was a 500, 5,000, or 50,000 head situation to be able to get contracts. | |
