I've used the same email address for 20 years.  The amount of junk email I gets has varied over time and I have had success by using the unsubscribe and report as spam features.  I probably get 8-12 junk messages/day now but at times it was 10x that amount.  All the big providers (gMail, Microsoft/Outlook) have excellent spam filters and if the majority of the junk is going to the spam folder then I'd suggest just letting it be.  Review it once in a while to make sure legitimate mail isn't going there and let it do its job.
