Northeast Iowa | Had one that I saw as a calf at the breeder's farm that I liked. Instead of taking him to a sale, a couple of us us bought him as a group and leased him to a stud. I bought the natural service rights to him. In his 11th breeding season, a yearling lifted a chain off a gate post and got into the breeding pasture with him. The yearling got in a fight with the older bull and broke the older bull's rear leg. The vet said it was a clean break that wouldn't heal. He didn't have anything along to put him down, so I had to shoot him.
