Southeast Colorado | I've chatted about it a tad on here. At this stage, I hope it either rains quite a bit, and soon..........or stays dry past spring crop planting time. They do let us Prevent Plant dryland acres. We've got no subsoil moisture.........so an inch or two of rain would surely lead to a crop failure. We depend a lot on filling up the profile beforehand........because we're just about always short of moisture during the growing season. It's why we fallow here. We have no moisture profile built up at all.........so sprouting a crop would do us little good. Of course no one knows what the future holds...........but if I was a betting guy, I know where I'd place my money.
