It depends on the skills, available parts, and imagination of the purchaser. I damaged a 9330 stieger tractor (long story) 2 falls ago. I bent the frame under the motor so badly that you wouldn't dare run the motor. A dealer mechanic friend of mine said it was definitely totaled. I spent under $1000 and maybe 8-10 short winter days cutting and fabricating a new frame. Put 200 hours on it last year, 0 issues. I'm keeping my eyes peeled for mechanic specials that would be similar situations. On the other hand, that same winter, I got burned for $3000 on a semi tractor that was misrepresented and I didn't research well enough (100% my fault).
