My first experience with an 8 track was in about 1976. My brother had installed one in his 1958 Chevy Cameo. After I took over the pickup the one I remember was a "best of" tape. It had Mel Tillis, Johnny Horton, Johnny Cash, Loretta Lynn, Conway Twitty, and a few others that I can't remember.

Later, my first car was a 1972 Chevy Malibu with a factory 8 track. I had several tapes by then but my favorite was the Statler Brothers.
