Bluford, Illinois | Question, on Deere 4630 Sprayer. Running it fine, then all of a sudden the thing dies. Crank crank crank finally starts back up. Took off, finished the pass went to turn around, died again. Crank crank forever. Nothing. Drain tank, fresh diesel. Nothing. Next day, drain tank, fresh diesel. New filters. New lift pump. Cranks, runs. Sprays.. for about an hour. Dies. Crank crank, sometimes it’ll fire for a few minutes sometimes it doesn’t. It’ll generally fire for a little bit if you let it sit a while. Today, drain tank, power wash out tank. Put plugs back in (after flushing a little diesel through), blow out line from tank to primary filter housing, primary filter housing to transfer pump, blew line out that comes out of transfer pump and goes into secondary filter, return, and fuel cooler. I wasn’t able to take those three lines apart to blow them individually. The first time it died it was no warning, since then it’ll kinda be slightly sluggish, and if I’m quick on the stick I can keep it from dying. But usually difficult to restart. So I’ve had new filters, fresh fuel, blown out lines, new lift pump. I hate to purchase new injection pump and it not fix it. Any ideas? Codes I had about the 3rd time it died.
6.8 Engine.
