Western Oregon | Been nearly 20 years. The longer you stay on it the longer it stays swelled up. Need to keep it up as much as possible. I never missed a day of work, went in on day of surgery 2 weeks later and back the next day. Cast and crutches for 4 weeks. Had drop toe. 4 more weeks of air boot and crutches, and therapy for drop toe. 3 years later the skin on my leg up to knee was blotchy orange. Didn't heal right, joint came loose, ankle joint fused, came apart. Had to have joint removed and fused. 1 3/4" rocker sole, no joint. Now bothers knee to walk more than a mile because it is hard to get knee and hip to stride through. Stiff limp. I broke ankle in 3 places and the small bone in lower leg at knee attachment and ankle attachment....James | |
