| Ive owned this tractor for a few years and always struggle with power below 1700 rpm , above 1800 rpm it's incredible . When turning on the ends I like to throttle down but always have to shift down a couple gears just to be able to bring the rpm back , tried everything with fuel making sure that's good , i have 88 psi fuel pressure , watching the boost it only has 3 psi at 16-1700 rpm with no black smoke . My feeling its not getting fuel until rpm gets up to 1800. Not what I expected with the C18. This tractor was a scraper tractor when new , don't know if they are tuned different to protect the transmission with low rpm or some other reason . Love the tractor and gets the work done , just not right in my opinion , Drove a MTS tractor with the same engine although newer and had high power at any rpm , any thoughts appreciated | |
