Big old rope.

You aren't supposed to jerk or "take a run at" anything with anything, not even a rope or kinetic rope. The tags on it will say not to do that, that is how it breaks and you end up with two closed coffin funerals.

The way they are supposed to work is you slowly pull on it, from where you have traction, it stretches and adds energy until it has enough to break free.

Our plain old rope is about the size of my arm and I've seen it stretched to less than half its size then whatever it is pulling on starts moving. And it shrinks way faster than it is being pulled.

You also aren't supposed to get a rope of any type dirty either.
