New London, Wisconsin | Nice job. It's impossible to know how to do any better with the little information you had. I had a very good friend who didn't warn me, and I heard the gun shot. Those things never go away.
A different friend called and wanted to meet, who had a history of attempts. I did, and didn't realize how serious it was until she handed me a note. We talked for hours and she's still around, and remarried, and happy.
Don't ignore those things, you might not get another chance.
