Feel sorry for the people that have been run over for them to get to where they are.


I don't have a dog in the fight. Never heard of Monette Farms until I read about them here.

But- I guess I'm somewhat confused. Its easy to get mad at a manufacturer like JD. Especially with some of their questionable practices the last 20 or 30 years. Looks like they somehow had a direct line to the farm here, not clear on how the dealers were involved, if at all. And, that's absolutely not the first time those practices by a manufacturer have happened, either. I don't get the hatred directed towards the input suppliers. They have a pretty limited area to do business. When the market changes, they either have to change with it or close the doors. I suppose if the "little" guys were losing service or were paying more than they deemed fair compared to the new kid, sure there's going be some hard feelings. It would certainly open up opportunities for the suppliers who didn't get the business from the new kid. But heres the flipside, and I've been on that side- just try to go repo last years fertilizer or chemical or seed purchase.
