I buy the hose in bulk, then change it whenever i have the sprayer cleaned out switching from one crop to another. I put a floresent orange fishing bobber in at the same time. They will lose there color over time so those need changed too. I use the ones that are about 3/8-1/2 diameter, and about 1 in long
