Dyneema is going to have more cushion than cable, but otherwise similar. Kinetic rope is a game changer, I can see why you want to avoid "jerking" equipment, but the kinetic rope takes the jerk out of "taking a run at it" and transfers that energy smoothly to the stuck vehicle, AS LONG AS NOTHING BREAKS, but that applies to chains, cables and straps also.

I don't pull large equipment out, but the smaller kinetic rope for the times I've used them have been amazing, especially when the pulling vehicle is not bigger, and doesn't have great traction either, it's a huge multiplier to be able to take a run at it.
